Avoiding Unsightly Algae.

The basic idea of the deep bed is that you divide your plot into sections about 2-3m long by about 40cm wide, parted by pathways about 500cm wide. If you do end up doing this, cut the bed in half with another trail. When planning the layout of the deep beds, attempt to align them so the length of the beds is on a north-south axis, to give the crops maximum benefit from the sun, and when planning the cropping of the beds do not forget to site the tall crops on the northern side in order that they don't cast a shadow over the lower growing crops. You can make a frame out of planks of wood, if you want.
